National and local acts featured nightly along with food and drink service at this dark, underground Pioneer Square comedy club.

This club is located in Pioneer Square, where the Underground tour has proven that too much time beneath the city streets can lead even normal people to tell bad jokes. Currently Monday is open-mike night, in case you want to get onstage and make a fool of yourself.

So Seattle does not have the best comedy scene but this place is by far the best in the city. There prices are honest, the food is ok (and priced that way) and overall I've never had a bad experance there.

Pros

+ service, comdey, easygoing staff and crowed

Cons

- the atmosphere is somewhat dreary

I am working up the nerve to do open mic night at The Comedy Underground in Pioneer Square; most Sundays and Mondays they open up the stage for amateurs to get laughed with and at. I can't help but think that the appeal of these open mic nights is a bit too American Idolesque in the fact that sometimes the public wants to see people on stage not to perform beautifully but rather to screw up and be ... more
