I met Grant and Marie for a lovely dinner at C'om. The interior is very well appointed and the service is extremely gracious. The food is Vietnamese with the occasional twist; of course, even standard Vietnamese food has a noticeable French influence. Here are a few of the dishes we tried.

The highlight of the appetizer selection was the Mango, Papaya, Apple, and Shrimp Salad. The sweetness of the fruit combined with the savory marinade for the shrimp was extremely delicious. They also have a spicy seafood soup with shrimp and squid that’s cooked in a broth of lemon grass, ginger, basil and spices which they told me was not for the timid and actually talked one my companions out of ordering…I will be having that next visit.
