This museum of American art and regional history is the largest in Georgia and one of the largest museums in the Southeast. There are 15 permanent collections and also traveling exhibition galleries of fine and decorative art. The Columbus Museum is a nice place to go for an afternoon outing with the kids. It's focus is on local Columbus history/people.
