Groups gather at tables in the front, mismatched couches and leather chairs share space with a bookshelf further back. At the counter, there's a full selection of organic, free-trade coffee drinks. No, not a favorite. Tried laptopping it here and didn't enjoy the environment which was a bit too bustling for me. More so, though, I wasn't too fond of some of the staff. Maybe they get harried too often there since it's in the Haight? But I felt it was such a imposition on them to request a container for my sandwich leftovers. Really great coffeehouse. They seem to care -- about coffee, the environment, their employees, and the neighborhood. I love to hang out there. Try the vanilla soy latte. YUM.
