Information about this business (2)

The recently rehabbed Cocktail, is one of the most inviting playful bars/ restaurants in Lakeview, appealing to a broad-based clientele that is short on attitude and long on fun. Its two attractive bars (cocktail & garden bar) feature black crystal chandeliers, onyx-lit bar tops (imported from Greece) and a swank sidewalk café, known as the gardens. cocktail is the perfect place to sip...

Cocktail is a retro-chic gay bar with a good selection of brews, exposed brick and all the joy that a night out in Boys Town can bring. The front room is fashioned for cocktails and conversation, while in the back, dancers pack it in to dance for celebrity DJs. On Monday nights, there is usually a lesbian crowd. Tuesdays, the bar offers a martini menu, while the weekends are all about the dance...

Editorial reviews from the web (3)

This corner spot is a friendly hangout in the afternoons and early evenings, when it's easy to converse and watch the passing parade from big picture windows (on Sun afternoons, regulars even stop by with their dogs in tow). Things get a little more frenzied after 10pm, Thursday through Sunday, when the club's lineup of go-go dancers hits the floor.

Sleek hangout on happenin' bar strip is done up in decadent dark woods, serves up a good cocktail and a fair beer selection for loyal male clientele.

Lively bar in the heart of Boys Town takes house music and its welcoming vibe very seriously.

This Boys Town bar is filled with music. Go-go's perform three times a week and the bar has a reputation for being happening and cool. Dramatic chandeliers and original DJ's make this the place to hit it for an entertaining evening of late night classiness.

Tips about this business (3)

Know Before You Go

Dancers perform nightly. Depending on their mood or stage persona, they range from playful to bored, kneeling to greet admirers with a quick whisper or deliberately making no eye contact at all, focusing on his bumps and grinds only.

When to Go

Stop here late in the week for a more chill, but still upbeat vibe; weekends for the buzz and people-watching.

Look Good

Although a very inviting neighborhood spot, the joint does attract a fashion-savvy clientele--both male and female.
