Citysearch

If you want to see the latest independent film, but don't want to schlep into the city, the Claridge is where you can go. There is always something playing there I want to see. It's best to go during the week because it gets quite crowded on the weekends. The screens aren't all that large (but they're not that large at the Angelika, either!).

This theatre always has the best independent movie selection that usually you can only find in nyc. It's on the small side, so it can get packed on the weekends, but I will always come here!

Montclair gets all the best new movies. During the summer they also sold homemade icecream outside in the lobby, but i'm not sure the hours of this added plus, it might be a seasonal bonus of summer.
