really, really good
Came here with some French relatives, who were appropriately impressed. :-) Great food, incredible service (our waiter spoke fluent French) and lovely atmosphere.
Dependable Meals & People Watching
Clafoutis has sidewalk dining with a total scene: Sunset Strip denizens from all over the world--sometimes including people from all aspects of the entertainment industry--strutting their stuff. Tables are a little cramped and you may be sitting next to somebody, but the food and service are worth it. Prices are moderate, free parking is in the back and you generally do not need reservations. Definitely save room for some dessert; the pastry chef is outstanding.

The reason this place is so popular is because 1) followers think they 'should' eat here cos it's on Sunset Plaza so that makes them feel important 2) rich bald men (or young hotshots) just want to show off their fancy car if they can find a parking spot out front and 3) it really does offer some great people-watching.
