This is a grocery store suitable for students. If you need a quick ready to serve frozen meal this store is vey handy. The prices are higher than the chain grocery stores.

The grocery store is not too far from State Street nor campus. However, I hesitate to call it a grocery store. It's more of a supermarket - or a mini grocery store. It services mostly the University of Wisconsin college students renting houses and apartments in the area just east of campus. This grocery store is pretty small and has higher-than-usual prices, unless items are bought on sale. However, the biggest advantage of Cap Centre Foods is the location. Right in the middle of a slightly off-campus neighborhood, this place is great if you don't have a car or just need to pick up a few things.
