Ascend a pair of sweeping marble staircases beneath the great rotunda and travel back to the elegance and beauty that was the norm in the early 1900s. In its day, the Hurt Building was the tallest skyscraper in the city, a declaration that the New South had emerged from the ashes of Civil War. At the top of the stairs you enter City Grill with its lofty ceilings, murals and huge potted palms....

Fine dining, Southern style, draws crowds to a landmark downtown building.

City Grill is a classy downtown restaurant. The service
is outstanding and the food is delicious. It is a
quiet place with a ritzy feel. A warning though, if
you eat at City Grill when you're hungry, chances are
you'll also have to supplement your appitite with some
snacks when you get home, either that or end up with a
monsterous bill. The food is great but it is sparce and
expensive. A...

You cannot beat the atmosphere, service or food. Their crab cakes
are outstanding as well as grilled salmon sandwich. Great business
lunch location. For larger groups, ask for the private dining room.
As stated in other reviews, bring your wallet.

A very classy place to bring a guest and enjoy some great food.

The prices can be a bit steep so come prepared. The service is just
great here.
