Ann Taylor and Barneys New York are just a couple of the shops you'll find in this all-inclusive, upscale shopping center. Men, women, and children are certain to be easily accommodated by the range of stores and boutiques. A contemporary glass art collection, a two-screen movie theatre, and a trendy Euro-bistro also reside in the mall. Shopping, dinner, and a movie all in the same place – what... more

This downtown mall is not huge, but it does feature a number of high-end stores including Barneys New York , Ann Taylor, Europa for Men , Joan & David, Daniel Louis Jewelry Art and more. There are 20 stores in all and a few eating establishments, including the very popular Palomino, and of course, there is a Starbucks. The small City Centre Cinema has closed, with only indefinite plans to... more

Look for the Dale Chihuly glass installation near the FAO Schwartz entrance inside the mall. Chihuly is the kingpin of the Northwest glass art movement. If you like what you see, visit the Foster White Gallery in Pioneer Square for more.

Editorial Reviews from the web

For dyed-in-the-wool shoppers, this mall is all about Barneys New York; for the diner, it's all about Palomino.

In Short It's telling that City Centre is part of the US Bank Centre building: gigantic vaulted ceilings, artwork (which all seems to be from 1987) behind monstrous wood and glass containers and the centrally located U.S. Bank give it, well, a bank feel. Shoppers overlook the '80s decor for Barney's New York. The food kiosks, which include Soups and Juice Smoothies, are logical... more

This upscale downtown shopping center is the Seattle address of such familiar retailers as Barneys New York and Ann Taylor. There are works by Dale Chihuly and other Northwest glass artists on display throughout City Centre, as well as a very comfortable lounge where you can rest your feet and escape from the Seattle weather.

This is the best place to browse around and see the art that this building has to show. There is the famous chihuly (same person who did the glass displays in the Bellagio and Tacoma museum) display on the 2nd floor. Looks like this place has been recently remodeled and is very inviting. I like the free wireless as well. Definitely worth visiting is just only to eat at Palominos! There... more

A completely 'cold' feeling

Despite having more than a dozen upscale shops such as Barney's, this place has a completely 'cold' feeling. A better bet might be just a few blocks away at Pacific Place which has a much more inviting feel and vibe.

Pros

+ Cache with shops like Barney's

Cons

- Cold and uninviting
