Leland City Club is Detroit''s original alternative night club! The ambiance: darkly lit and avant garde. The Scene This is the longest-standing place in Detroit to get your goth on, as well as your alternative and techno. Patrons dress head-to-toe in everything from full leather outfits to pink rubber mini-skirts and fishnets. Dark, concrete walls and a beat-up dance floor are the staples of this place, as are the thundering beats. The Draw Loud music (of all types, but... more

This has been my second time to the City Club and I had yet another awesome time! The atmosphere cannot be compared to any of the other nightclubs in the Downtown area bar scene. If you like to have a great time, be around a variety of people, and see some "skin" here and there in the mix, then this is definately the place for you. Yes, drinks are expensive, but I must say, the bartenders... more

The entrance fee is quite reasonable, only 5 bucks a person. The water and drinks are just a bit expensive though. If you love industrial, techno, and dance music, this is definitely the place for you.

I've gone here quite a few times with friends. It's a wonderful place, the atmosphere is dark and wild. It makes you throw away your inhibitions and do what your heart desires.

This place should have been demolished after Hoffa disappeared. Staff is rude and uninterested in guests. Cafe is open if they can keep it staffed and the food is greasy spoon at best. Rooms are dirty and smelly and very very small with stained carpeting. Our bathroom door didn't even shut all the way. This place if falling apart at best.
