We purchased a new home from this builder in 2005. Within 6 months the concrete staining application on the first floor started peeling and the company admitted that the contractor providing the service was not experienced in concrete staining. They agreed to touch it up despite our concerns that it would continue to peel in other places which is exactly what has happened. As per our instructions at the closing, we notified the builder prior to the end of the one year new home warranty that this was not acceptable and that we should be entitled to a floor treatment. After multiple calls and inquiries on our part over the course of the next year, they agreed in February of 2007 to tile the area in question. We were told to pick out tile which we did promptly but then received no action from them for another 6 months. Again agreed to complete the project and a date was set for earlier this month. We agreed upon a date the work was to be done and we emptied our first floor of furniture at our own expense. Not only did they not perform the work as promised but are not even returning our telephone calls. We still have no flooring and all of our furniture in storage until we can purchase the tile and locate a service vendor to install all at our own expense. This is a violation of the new home warranty contract. Based on their unprofessionalism and disregard for their customers, their use of inexperienced and irresponsible contractors and their misleading business practices, we feel they should be penalized and would not recommend anyone purchase a home from them.
