Austinites hold a soft spot for this longtime Northwest Hills Chinese (with a newer Downtown outpost) known for its "well-prepared", "run-of-the-mill" Hunan menu, bountiful dim sum spreads and expansive wine list; the "pleasant" atmosphere is upscale for the genre, with fiery red accents and carved wood throughout, although prices are still easy on the wallet.

Missed the lunch crowd. The Chinese restaurant is upstairs. Had a chicken dish with yummy mushrooms, red peppers and snow peas. Egg roll was good too.

Sometimes people put all kinds of veggies and creamed corn in their egg drop soup and I hate it. However, Chinatown is not one of those people. Plain and simple is how I like it and plain and simple is how they deliver.

Disappointing. My daughters, grand-daughter and I had lunch here today and was very disappointed in the service. The wonton soup was good, the food was just okay. They are definitely not a child friendly place, no children's menu and the waitress wanted us to pay $13 to get a bowl of noodles for my 3 year old grand-daughter. Its not that this place is bad-it's not-its just average and when I go here for a Chinese fix I walk away still longing for the great Chinese food in Chicago, New York, San Francisco or London.
