No joke--Chickie's has probably the best hoagies in the city, and the veggie tops the list, but the sausage and the italian are great too. The bread is excellent, the provolone is nice and sharp, and the broccoli rabe is pure garlicky goodness.

The veggie hoagie at Chickie's is the best sandwich in the city, bar none. I drive around the city alot for business and am always looking for a new sandwich or pizza to try. The veggie hoagie here has unbelievable flavors. All the ingredients come together perfectly. All veggies are tender. I cannot rave enough about this sandwich. It is a must try for all. This is truly South Philly soul food.
