Connie and I use to go to the Topeka Steak House until they close. We drive by this place a lot and see their sign for chicken fried steak. We stop and tried it. Now we are regulars too.
I am a regular there and I like the small town cafe atmosphere. Everybody seems to know each other and the food ain't bad either. One thing you will experience is the owners will do whatever needs to be done from dishwashing to buying the tables.
A little home like diner. Breakfast served all day, homemade pie and cake.
This place has been around for a long time. Since we have found it, we have visited twice. We will be returning
This is a nice little mom-and-pop in Topeka. It isn't the most polished place around but the service is always friendly and their burgers are excellent! Their patty melt is my go-to and the rueben is a second favorite. They make their own potato chips, which is fun, and their sweet potato fries are really tasty. Chic-A-Dee is a good place for a nice, laid-back meal.
Restaurant.com has an offer. Once a month we go on Saturday for all you can eat chicken. The first Saturday of the month is Prime Rib night. Soup or salad and a side. Good food, good service and great prices.
