Service can be surly if nearly non-existent but if you are in for the food surge ahead to this Lake City Way institution. Go with a group so you can try lots of dishes as everything I've had here is solid.

I was lucky to go w/2 Chinese food experts who picked the best of the best. My faves: sauteed shrimp (vinegary & addictive) & fish with noodle (total comfort casserole-type fare).

A local favorite of mine in North Seattle, when craving Chinese food. Known for their homemade noodles, serves Taiwanese breakfast, and two sets of menus. Service can be a toss up depending on how busy the night is. Recommend the onion pancake, spicy seafood noodle soup, and cold noodles.

Had my birthday party there and we all really enjoyed the food. It looks a little dumpy from the outside--the old Mercedes Benz parked outside doesn't help--but don't let that scare you. Service...

The quality of the food here is very authentic. However, I noticed that the portions have gone down a bit and prices up which is a little disappointing. Haven't ordered anything I didnt like so thats a nice plus! They serve traditional taiwanese breakfast foods on the weekends. It can get a little loud sometimes when students are there since its pretty close to the UW.

When to Go: On weekends, don't miss the Northern-style dim sum, a distant cousin of the more familiar version, for a range of interesting flavors.
