Cheebo

Tasty dinner

Review Rating
I can completely understand the reviews who complain about the slow service. It seems like it'd be more of an in and out in a hurry place, but it's not - so plan accordingly. How can it take 5-10 minutes to pour beer in a glass?

The service has been slow but friendly on all our visits, so we've taken our time and enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Ooh - the food. It's been delicious every time! The prices are very reasonable so 5 stars.

healthy eating finally meets great food!

I agree, it's dependably good. I recently went there with a friend who's on a pretty strict diet and she was tickled pink to be able to order a plate of quinoa, steamed spinach and scrambled eggs, with a side of salsa. They have a great selection of organic teas, too.

Tasty!

Cheebo has a dependable menu. They routinely change the content, but they always have a fresh vegan soup, a fish of the day, roast meat of the day and a wide choice of pasta, salads, fish and burgers. They have great Cuban-style pressed sandwiches and homemade chips. Save room for dessert, especialy tiramisu. Parking is problematic depending on the time of the day; the best bet is street parking. The tables are a little tight so be prepared to be next to a neighbor.

Semi-casual industry spot meets local hangout at Cheebo, which is only more popular now that they serve breakfast all day. Sausage and fennel pizza and 12-Hour Slow Roasted Organic Pork are signatures for dining in or taking out.

You've got to love a place that serves pizza by the yard and "da bomb."

Everyone from kid-toting yuppies to tattooed and pierced rockers adores this Hollywood pizza joint splashed with orange paint, which offers much more than its signature rectangular pies (called "slabs"). The sandwiches (think pressed pork and Manchego cheese or the half-pound mesquite-grilled beef burger with cheddar) are crowd-pleasers, and the pastas are top-drawer. The more ambitious dinner... more

No time to linger over a boozy lunch or decadent dinner? Bright and cheery, Cheebo is the go-to spot for busy industry peeps. The eclectic menu offers organic and seasonal salads and sandwiches. Kids are coddled with their own menu (Chicken Tenders!), complimentary crayons and board games. Save room for dessert. Take out recommended.

I am usually of the opinion that if you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything at all..but this is certainly not the case with Cheebo.

I hate to say but I ate here because I saw it on "The Hills"..I know, I know! What I didn't know was that the wait staff would be incredibly rude and that my amazingly mediocre food would take nearly 45 minutes to get to the table!

I really do... more

By far the worst service I have ever recieved in any eatery in Los Angeles, and the food is nothing to rave about either. I would never go back and would advise friends to find somewhere else to eat!

I literally just got home from dinner at Cheebo and was so insenced that I created a Citysearch account just so that others do not have to share my fate!
Myself and my wife went to Cheebo looking for a tasty meal before a movie, what we got was a 1 hour wait for a bowl of pasta that tasted like a tin of capers had been dumped on it and a pizza that tasted almost identical to the Cheebread... more
