Being a novice Indian cuisine diner, I accompanied my coworker to this wonderful Indian restaurant in Fremont. Serving light small dishes, the meal was made up of numerous "appetizers" or Indian street food, and hit the spot nicely.

Pani Puri: round, hollow, fried crip - poke a hole in it, fill it up with beans and dip in various sauces, and flavored water.

Its a plain Indian restaurant with great food. Loved the makki roti - saag. Don't miss trying tikki-kachori chole combo! There is nothing like a service. You get very tasty Indian south/north Indian food. Prices are reasonable (US$10-15/person). Bit crowded, because of its popularity. This waiting is alright for the assured good food.
After your food, do not miss to visit the ice cream parlour next door.
