I miss the good old days when I still had a WaMu account. Free checking, free checks for life, no ATM fees ever, tons of other perks.
Then you took over and started being a little bitch, nickel-and-diming me for everything: new checks, using outside ATMS ($5, no less!), too many account transfers in one billing cycle, even ridiculous shit like transferring money online to an external account. And now, a monthly fee on my ""Free Extra Checking Account""? What exactly is free or extra about that? And I love how you gradually snuck in each new change/charge to keep your claws on...
Four years ago I left Citibank to become a Washington Mutual customer. I am a struggling writer who is literally living check to check... and often times, I slip into the red. I went to WaMu because originally they were the "Free Bank"... no hidden fees, free checking, free ATMS... all the things banks used to be before they all got too greedy.

Sometimes there's a line, but it moves fast because the employees here know what they're doing, plus they're genuinely friendly. There are three ATMS outside that usually function perfectly (the one on the far right is difficult to see when the sun hits the monitor directly). Good sized parking lot.
