Nice place for a great burger and fries! Good place to take family and friends for a fun time. Locally owned Houston eatery with lots of taste and flavor.

when my family and I moved to Houston from NY back in the early 80's, I worked at a Charlie's Hamburger Joint part time, weekends and during the summertime. Of course I've had burgers before moving to Houston but the burgers at Charlie's were something I would never forget! Juicy, hot, fresh made, huge and to this day, it was the standard to which I held all other burger joints. At the time, it didn't seem like the typical ""fast food joint"" and the menu was for the most part, all about the burgers. This place has THE best burgers. They are old-fashioned, greasy, and amazing. The chicken sandwiches are good too. There isn't a large beer selection but they are cheap during happy hour. The tv's aren't great so don't go there to watch the big game.

I have tried coming here several times and they consistently have issues with milkshakes. 4 of the 6 times i have come they were 'out of ice cream' and now on the 5th time of them not having milk shakes I've decided to say something about it.
\r I was so dissapointed that they again didn't have a milkshake that I gave my burger away to a homeless guy and went to SOMEBURGER on 11th st (way better burger AND THEY HAD MILKSHAKS).
