Editorial reviews from the web (1)

Right next to Tampa's cruise-ship terminal, this outdoor mall offers a vast array of shopping and dining options, as well as live music in a large courtyard. Look out for Qachbals Chocolatier, inventive fusion restaurant Flambe, and Splitsville, a 21 & up bowling alley and restaurant chain targeting a younger crowd.

Nothing there

Unless you define Hooters & a bar/bowling alley as a shopping plaza, it’s not a shopping plaza. They really should take down their website & anything else that advertises as such. We wasted time traveling there & expected it to be our main point of...

We stopped at Hablo Taco on August 18 for lunch. We were seated in the bar section rather quickly, but our table was cramped for four people.
Our waiter was great, attentive and fast to our needs. However, the actual food was rather bland. The...

We were so surprised to visit Channelside and find it almost derelict. Movie theaters and other businesses shuttered. A few restaurants and watering holes still open. Hopefully someone will buy this and breathe some life into it. Not at all worth making it a destination...

Shopping Malls and Centers: This waterside collection of retailers, nightlife, and restaurants is centered on an attractive, European-style brick plaza that features palm trees, fountains and umbrella-shaded tables. An urban oasis of sorts, Channelside offers the downtown crowd a pleasant escape from their steel and glass offices. The popular shops here carry wares ranging from premium cigars,...

What once used to be warehouses and empty lots is now Tampa's newest elite shopping complex, known as the Channelside Bay Plaza. Starting with the Florida Aquarium and curving around to end at the Tampa Convention Center, the district also includes the Ice Palace, the Port of Tampa, an IMAX movie theater, dining in the form of Newk's, G. Elliot's, and Pop City and a variety of clothing and gift...

Bask in the Tampa Bay sun at Channelside Bay Plaza. Shopping options here include unique Tampa boutiques and specialty shops, spread throughout the development’s two-tiered facility. Surf shops, chocolatiers, and women’s clothing stores are accompanied by a premier cigar lounge and wine market. The market’s 32-bottle wine dispensing machine for a half glass, full glass or just a taste, is...
