Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels is the mother church of the archdiocese of Los Angeles. Built originally in the 1800s, it was rebuilt to the tune of USD180 million after the Northbridge earthquake in 1994. This seven-level structure accommodates up to 3000 worshippers. The lower level Crypt Mausoleum is also worth a glance, and is the resting place of bishops and cardinals.

In Short This massive 3,000-seat Catholic cathedral serves as a bold focal point for Bunker Hill and the Hollywood Freeway. While the sandy concrete exterior is austere and administrative, the interior and courtyards offer many elaborate details. Not a good place to have a wedding

I've attended 2 weddings at this overrated building. Granted, it's decent looking but the architecture and overall look of the building did not make me feel any sense of awe or reverence. My mom put it best when she said that the place looks more like a museum than a cathedral. The place looks very bland with all muted shades of brown and tan. With all the money spent on this place and all the ... more

The location was great because it was right in the middle of Union Square, so all of the shops were surrounding us. The service was great because they were very attentive.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The set up of the room was very comfortable. The bed was cozy and the chairs had a lot of cushion to them.
