Casa Orinda Restaurant Review

Open since 1932, when the surrounding area was wide-open chaparral, Casa Orinda is a delightful throwback to a time when gastronomic correctness wasn’t even a gleam in its advocates’ eyes. The staff there is amazing and very welcoming. We enjoy having date nights there or celebrating special occasions with our kids.

We love this place because it doesn't have any pretense.. fun , dated in an authentic way, consistently good food.. lots of options.. old fashioned .. no " crafted" anything but good cocktails , ... only negative thing I'd say is I bet the women wait staff are underpaid. Seems male dominated in a 50's/60's way.

Excellent veal marsala. Excellent service. Drinks are a little high priced. Noisy.

The 67-year-old Casa Orinda--Contra Costa County's oldest continuously operating restaurant--has grown more than a bit from its...
