The Hard Rock Hotel is a high energy resort with contemporary furnishings; casual and hip, with a rock-n-roll atmosphere. Think of a California Rock Star's mansion, where several musician friends left memorabilia behind for you to enjoy. Look for an eclectic staff with a fun attitude to provide top notch service. It's a 5 minute walk to USF and CityWalk, too! To walk to the parks simple take... more

Juancho was the Brillat-Savarin of Spain, an old-time dude who loved a good meal. You can feast like him at this well-known eatery. The snapper browned with butter and topped with mushrooms, ham, and shrimp is super; roast suckling pig is an immense portion worth every caloric bite, as are the famed desserts crema catalana and syrup-soaked torrijas. In Short From the outside, Juancho looks like an old Spanish villa. Inside, there are stone walls, comfortable wooden chairs, and low ceilings supported by heavy wooden beams. As in the Old Country, Spanish hams hang over a weathered wooden bar. Not to be forgotten, the food is as authentic as the surroundings. Paella is the specialty (served with either chicken or fish), but kudos to... more

We spent 3 nights at the HRH at Universal. It is definitely a party hotel - it probably appealed more to us and our boys (ages 10 and 12) than it did to my parents. However, my parents did enjoy the memorabilia present throughout the hotel and they enjoyed the food. As with other Universal (and Disney for that matter)... more
