Carney's Restaurant

Best Hot Dog on The Sunset Strip!

Review Rating
Carneys is the Sunset Strip version of the hot dog and burger stand. The food is great and reasonably priced. Vegans and dieters beware! The fries are worth killing for when they scoop some cheese and chili on top. (The primary concession to healthy eating is "protien style", which means without a bun!) Carneys has free parking behind so you never have to worry about that. Service is always fast and it's built in a converted rail car in the middle of the Strip so you can't miss it.

Last Request - A Great Burger & Dog

Review Rating
Carneys is so good that when my aunt was having chemo for cancer and couldn't eat, her last meal request was a Carney's chili cheese burger & hot dog. She ate them in about a minute!

Good burgers

Besides the traditional beef, they also have turkey and veggie burgers. Everything is fresh and made to order. Plenty of free parking and great service. Superlative chili dogs. Kids love eating here because it is in a train.

Housed in a bright yellow train car along Sunset Boulevard, Carney’s is a one-way ticket to gastric bliss (or in some stomachs, demise). Specializing in chili-topped hamburgers and hot dogs, it’s not exactly the healthiest ride, but a stop after a night on the Strip can be satisfying. The interior is as narrow as a real train car; folks with spatial issues might want to sit at an outdoor table.... more

In Short This casual SoCal burger joint inhabits a bright yellow Amtrak passenger car from the 1920s, and its white- and red-paneled walls sport old framed black-and-whites documenting its disco-era construction. T-shirted tourists and local die-hards order at the counter and grab napkins from a bathroom towel dispenser at the end of the line. Trademark burgers and hot dogs are served... more

All aboard! 1920's Amtrak crashes on the Strip, serves up juicy 1/2 lb. burgers, taughtly-tied dawgs, and meaty, chowdery chili. Great for ambiance, people watching as vacationing packs of 18-year-old boys strut around in blue shirts looking for sports bars where they can drink their heads off and generally disgust the local female population. Stop by for a quick, drunken bite before stumbling... more

I'm a big fan of carney's chili burgers! It's not the healthiest meal to eat but it's delicous. I'm also a fan of they're quesadillas! The only thing I probably don't like there is the hot dogs...they're kind of chewy. But other than that Carney's is great: the location, the service, and the food!

Carney's was a tour de force of scary fake burger meat, which I think is the worst kind of meat and the queen of bad food. Many orders were mixed up and my lettuce mayo burger came out as a 1000 Island dressing disaster.

Suffice it to say, I did not enjoy Carney's very much.
