It was close to the venue we were attending\n\nThe smell, stale trying to be masked by cleaning products. The heater did not work and it was 44 degrees Two large spiders ran across the bed The staff was rude when we checked in and did not believe that we had already been charged for the room

The room itself was very nice and the bed comfortable.\n\nThe gardens and landscaping were completely abandoned & facilities not maintained. Torn & dilapidated outdoor furniture, overgrown and dead gardens. New owners were going to be making complete renovations - but we booked because great gardens advertised.

The hotel's location is just outside of downtown Carmel Valley which is convenient. It is an easy 5 minute walk to wineries, shops, and restaurants. The hotel room was of nice size, and the bed was comfortable. The gas fireplace was very nice.\n\n2 things that can definitely be improved. 1.Closing the pool and jacuzzi at 9pm is way too early. Has to be the only hotel I have ever stayed at...

Situated by the ocean, Carmel Valley Lodge and Resort is a great choice for a stay in Carmel Valley. After having fun at the seasonal outdoor pool, you can grab a bite to eat at the coffee shop/café.
