My grandmother seemed very happy at this place. It was difficult for her to adjust, but the nurses (often nuns) had several ways and methods to help integrate newcomers and keep the people there feeling meaningful. Some residents received "jobs", or chores that they did around the center that helped residents or helped the center; sometimes the jobs were very simple, like scooping food or ice....

When you first pull up Carmel Manor looks like an old nunery with a dreary grayness to it. There was ample parking space as well as an excellent view of the ohio river from the parking lot. As soon as you walk in, you get a very warm sensation from the staff at the front desk.
