Ok. So what can you say about minimum wage staff? Can one expect at least a little bit of professionalism? Service is inconsistent; sometimes they are fast, sometimes they are slow. So I don't have any experience with the original Philly Cheese Steaks from Pat's or Geno's but I would imagine that they would be better than what Carl's was serving up. It was not bad by any standard however for almost 10 bucks and the title as the "best philly cheese steak in NY" you would expect a little more quality. I ordered a whiz and american steak here because they claim to be authentic to the philly steak. The hoagie roll was right but the meat was a little dry and also skimpy. The fried onions were still crunchy and they gave me the whiz on the side in a cup! I spread it on the roll anyways. The taste was similar, but by no means authentic.
