Been going to see Carlos since he was working with Dr. Lee on Kennedy and 6th. I have taken all my dogs to see him. His wait times are long but if you need surgery you will save hundreds to thousands of dollars, more than you make in one day anyway, well worth the wait. I have always had animals and vets are so overpriced. This guy is in a poor neighborhood and always helps, he isn't trying to overcharge you. With the amount of people who go here he has no reason to.
first time i went to carlos was in aug of 2011 because of my american bully puppy i bought from a breeder. he got sick and had symptoms of parvo. i rushed him to the aspca (walk-in visit $ 125) they tested him for parvo ($50) it came up neg but they wanted to keep him and treat him for parvo anyway they gave me an estimate for ($1800) and that would be the cheapest so i called up the breeder and explained wat was going (puppy was still under 14 day lemon law) so he told me to bring him to his vet in nj mind you i live in ny so i was like ok i told aspca i was bringing my puppy to another vet and told them to put fluids in him so i can make it to the vet with out him dehydrating ($85) sorry but i feel aspca is all about the money with no compassion unless they have their show on tv!!! so i get to carlos office meet up with the breeder and sign my puppy in. granted it was a long wait but it is worth it he is caring and understanding he took another parvo test (neg) he took xrays of puppys tummy (no obstruction then he took test for coccidia and giardia well he came up positive for coccidia this man took his time to find out what was wrong wit my puppy he wasnt worried about the money he was truely worried about the health of my dog as much as i was so aspca can kiss my a@s if they would have took the time to do other test that show same symptoms as parvo i could have found out earlier in the day wat was wrong wit my puppy and started immediate treatment so carlos gave me all medicine i needed for my puppy and my other dog at home (albone, antibiotics, fluids, iv and disposible needles and detailed directions) because coccidia is contagious and peep this he didnt charge me a thing!!!! can you believe that he is a wonderful human being then last night i went back to him because my dog got an irritation on his leg like a rash he remembered us right away very personable got medicine i needed and bought heartguard i needed also plus gave me 3 free bags of 1lb dog food plus he gave me info for my other dog i brought wit me about why she is losing weight and what to do about it didnt chrge me an extra check up fee for her all cost me $150 i will not be going back to my previous vet he is my NEW VET!!!!!
I have a pit and took it to get it's ear crop. They charged me $145 dollars. I was WTF, are you sure? They were like yeah. I checked three places before going here, just too hear that the cheapest price was $450. I was very happy with the treatment. Very clean process. Now I'm looking forward to going there every check-up date.
My yorkie(Belle) recently gave birth, and as a new breeder I wasn't aware that I needed the tails cropped in the first three days. I called Dr. Carlos at the last minute , and he still accepted me as a walk in. In addition to that I called The Animal Hospital on Westside Ave in Jersey City, and they wanted to charge me $265.00 for each tail cropping. Which would have been a total of $1,060.00. I was jumping for joy when Dr. Carlos informed me that his price was $40.00 each. Saved me over $900.00 dollars. I don't know how he does it, but I truely thank God for Him. I don't mind the wait, because when you finally get to see him, he really takes his time with you answering any and all questions.... Keep up the good work... Dr Carlos is the Best!!!!!
I m telling you right now. I ve been there 3 times in hopes that I could be treated professionaly. Each time, I m there four over 5 hrs. Myself and the lady that was before me figured out why. While we were the first ones to get there, # 1 and 2 in line, the place opens at 11 o clock am. The lady that was there first didn t get seen until 2:30 pm. Why, because you ve tried to get there early...
well my experience at this vet was not a pleasant one. First the nurse, receptionist or whatever she is at the front desk was very rude, very unprofessional and could care less about the animals or the people that day. granted we had to wait an whole day to see the vet. second once my dog was seen to be spayed, he did not give any type of instructions to follow. We were just provided with...
