This is not a vet, is a killer he don;t know anything about dogs.Go to Benfield they have insurance and take good care of your pet. You pay more but is worth it. If you love your dog so much if you don't then go cheap
I took my dog here because on the cheap prices. I was given a noon appointment, I arrived 11am left 8pm. YES ALMOST 10 hours waiting being told we were next multiple times. The staff is extremely unprofessional and I noticed the receptionist taking cash bribes from last minute walkins to see the Vet Carlos earlier. I watched for over 10 hours in dismay. As my dog starving and dehydrated since the previous night as instructed by the receptionist. Finally They took my dog to the back for bloodwork 5 minutes later I was told she was fine everything was ok I was charged almost $200. Yes I waited 10 hours for this and no reasonable explanation for the symptoms. After a month of vomiting I followed up with another vet who preformed the same bloodwork that resulted the contrary after medication she was back to normal. I called vet Carlos a few times left messages with the rude receptionist but never got a returned call. Later I heard from several patients and neighbors My dog was very luck because this vet is know as the butcher dog killer stealing money from clients and pretending to do the work. FYI my friend also took her dog to be spayed but became pregnant 1 year later. Another surprise Avoid him at all cost you don't truly know what he does in closed doors and refuses to let you watch
Been going to see Carlos since he was working with Dr. Lee on Kennedy and 6th. I have taken all my dogs to see him. His wait times are long but if you need surgery you will save hundreds to thousands of dollars, more than you make in one day anyway, well worth the wait. I have always had animals and vets are so overpriced. This guy is in a poor neighborhood and always helps, he isn't trying to overcharge you. With the amount of people who go here he has no reason to.
first time i went to carlos was in aug of 2011 because of my american bully puppy i bought from a breeder. he got sick and had symptoms of parvo. i rushed him to the aspca (walk-in visit $ 125) they tested him for parvo ($50) it came up neg but they wanted to keep him and treat him for parvo anyway they gave me an estimate for ($1800) and that would be the cheapest so i called up the breeder and explained wat was going (puppy was still under 14 day lemon law) so he told me to bring him to his vet in nj mind you i live in ny so i was like ok i told aspca i was bringing my puppy to another vet and told them to put fluids in him so i can make it to the vet with out him dehydrating ($85) sorry but i feel aspca is all about the money with no compassion unless they have their show on tv!!! so i get to carlos office meet up with the breeder and sign my puppy in. granted it was a long wait but it is worth it he is caring and understanding he took another parvo test (neg) he took xrays of puppys tummy (no obstruction then he took test for coccidia and giardia well he came up positive for coccidia this man took his time to find out what was wrong wit my puppy he wasnt worried about the money he was truely worried about the health of my dog as much as i was so aspca can kiss my a@s if they would have took the time to do other test that show same symptoms as parvo i could have found out earlier in the day wat was wrong wit my puppy and started immediate treatment so carlos gave me all medicine i needed for my puppy and my other dog at home (albone, antibiotics, fluids, iv and disposible needles and detailed directions) because coccidia is contagious and peep this he didnt charge me a thing!!!! can you believe that he is a wonderful human being then last night i went back to him because my dog got an irritation on his leg like a rash he remembered us right away very personable got medicine i needed and bought heartguard i needed also plus gave me 3 free bags of 1lb dog food plus he gave me info for my other dog i brought wit me about why she is losing weight and what to do about it didnt chrge me an extra check up fee for her all cost me $150 i will not be going back to my previous vet he is my NEW VET!!!!!
I have been to this clinic endless times. Carlos Triana is one vet of a kind. And although it may require some waiting time, Carlos' staff will take care of your pet...under any circumstances....
