The historic North Carolina home is the legacy of Pulitzer Prize winner Carl Sandburg. Sandburg authored his writings in the solitude of these Connemara Farms, while his wife, Lilian raised her dairy goats on the pastures. Today, the Sandburg residence and goat barns are open to visitors.

Parking is a distance from the home but it is a very pleasant walk and not strenuous.

The building is having work done and all the contents have been moved out. Most people were told before they bought their tickets. We were not. Not sure we would have gone in had we known.
