Gelato has less calories than ice cream, as it's made from milk, not cream. Also, there's less air whipped into it and it's kept at a higher temperature than ice cream, giving it that concentrated, melt-in-your mouth appeal.
In Short Wood floors and modern decor constructed from blue blown-glass bottle lamps and cool, curvy glass display cases, make this Italian-style gelateria a hangout for Europeans and wannabes. While walking around Rittenhouse Square during the summer, my daughters and I stopped here for some gelatos - the best we ever had! It was very busy but the staff was courteous and friendly.

This is the best place to go on a hot summer evening. It is located in a prime area for shopping and dining. It has seating, and is nice to hang out and have a coffee and/or sandwich also. Delicious.

service is friendly and hip, and you get free samples. Heirloom apples with marscapone cheese. Rosemary goatsmilk. Coconut milk. kiwi. There is real liquor when they add wild turkey, or champagne, or cognac.
