This apartment complex is close in proximity to many attractions, including shopping centers, restaurants, and downtown Albany. It is a very quiet neighborhood. The building is older (1970s), but the interior is very nice and spacious. The complex has two tennis courts and a swimming pool, as well as views of downtown. Definitely perfect for young working professionals like me.
I have lived here for a couple years now. I feel like overall this is a good place to live. There is a pool and tennis courts. The people mostly keep to themselves but are nice and will say hi. The staff are friendly and will get to any work requests you have in a timely matter. I've lived in Capitol View for three months now and I am so glad I chose to live here. The size of the apartments are very spacious compared to other apartments in the area. The staff is very friendly and fixes any problems you have that same day. I moved here for my masters' program and have not had any problems. I am very pleased with the apartment complex and also the surrounding area.
I have lived at Capitol View for 15 years, so it's obvious I am happy here. The rental manager does the job better than anyone I've encountered in apartment living. Maintenance people do repairs in a timely fashion (most in the same day) and the groundskeepers keep our complex looking good. In March I returned to NY,after living in California for 5 years. I was so relieved to find that the same manager was still at Capital View, and an apartment was available. Th manager is the same professional, courteous and caring person as when I lived here before CA. She and her staff go out of their way to take care of anything I need, just like before.
