My friend and I decided to take tubes down the river. They told us it would take 3-5 hours to go 2 miles, which we didn't believe! But they were right...We had the most leisurely float down the river. The weather started cool (70s) so we basically had the river to ourselves and it was perfect out there, not too...
We went through 10-mile whitewater adventure kayaking. The first 5 miles is OK, but second half is AMAZING with several rapids coming up. The staff are so wonderful and caring. Neil helped my wife and me for trip. He is really cool and responsive.
We took kids between the ages of 7 and 14. There were 7 of us total! The older kids floated ahead (SLOWLY!) We could touch the bottom most of the time. The younger kids floated on inner tubs and with their life preservers. My only recommendation is SHOES! Aqua socks or Vibrams would be best! The bottom of the river...
