Went to Calesa for some fine dinning to add to our experience in South Padre and was absolutely dissapointed. We asked for a wine list and were told the manager was on the bridge with the wine list. 20+ tables and only one wine list? Then the waitress couldn't explain what wines were available. The bread we were served was...

Small restaurant, formal atmosphere, personable chef, and great service. My husband and I had their New Years dinner. My lamb shank was one of the best I have had, very well prepared. My husband had the fillet medallions which were very good. It was our consensus that the island lacked fine dinning so Calesa fits this description.
