It must be true that good things come in small packages because this cafe serves some of Indianapolis' best gyros and shawarma out of a cafe the size of a walk-in closet. Seating isn't tight, it's non-existent. The owner, Rageh Hefni, mans the counter tirelessly and with good humor deep into the night.

Well this is the spot to get some food when your in broad ripple. I like the hot dogs on the street, but when they cant cut it, this is the spot to go. The guy who serves you is pretty funny and if you not careful and your pretty wasted make sure you total your bill right. Its got alot of good gyros and it always comes fully loaded. So I was totally thrown by the name Taza Cafe, I searched by Broad Ripple and Greek Mediterranean, and found this. However, for anyone who may be confused as I was, this is the Gyro Joint! If you're a Mediterranean food fan, and like a great Gyro...this is the spot for you. The hours are hectic at best, Rageh seems to open when he wants and stay open till business slows. Well now that I know THAT, I can wholeheartedly endorse it. I CRAVE gyros here. Usually I just get the baby gyro, it's enough to fill me up. But get the regular size one if you're super hungry. It's insane (think of those drunken-mess mazes of people at Hot Box at 3 a.m., compacted into a 4-foot-by-4-foot space and overflowing into the street).
