great lunch spot
This cafe adjacent to the Surfas cook's supply has great sandwiches, cheeses and snacks. It's recommended before actually going into Surfas so that you don't end up spending all your money on the amazing food items that Surfas carries.

Frankly, any meal of sandwiches, chips and a drinks for a family of five that costs over $75 is ridiculous. Yes, the food is made fresh. Yes, the taste was decent. But, the prices are way out of line.
Located in the midst of Culver City's burgeoning arts district the cafe is attached to the restaurant supply store of the same name. Cozy inside, with a large outside covered patio. Cafe Surfas is a part of the restaurant supply store of the same name. As such the cafe emphasizes European style sandwiches, paninis and sides. They also have excellent salads. While a little pricey they use excellent ingredients that create a top notch take out lunch.
