Review from patron:

Dinner at Cafe Eritrea d'Afrique. We ordered the house sampler vegetarian dish and a spicy chicken dish cooked with butter, garlic, onion, and pepper--a tasty, hearty dinner. I also ordered a honey wine which warmed me up as it slid down my throat. The enjera, the spongy Eritrean bread, soaks up the flavors of the various stews and vegetables, expands in the stomach, and makes for an extremely filling meal.

The restaurant interior is spotlessly clean, airy and spatious with simple tables and chairs. There's a feeling of relaxed comfort within this communal gathering...

Stop in for some of the finest authentic Ethiopian cuisine in the East Bay. We serve all traditional Ethiopian dishes including numerous options for Vegan and Vegetarian. We offer casual style dining as well as bar seating with an emphasis on customer service. We offer lunch and dinner with our lunch buffet starting at $8.95 during the week. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

No Side Orders

I asked for a side order of vegetables but that was not allowed. So they're not very accommodating. I've never had a problem at any other Ethiopian restaurant.

The worst service ever

After having been here more than a few times this time the service was lackluster, the food tasted old and to top it off, instead if charging us 13 dollars for the sampler plate, they charged us 13 dollars per person for the sampler plate! When we questioned the waitress about our bill, she just brushed us off and pointed...

We make it a point to eat at this restaurant whenever in the SF Bay Area. We usually get the House Sampler meat and vegetable sampler. We order for number of people in our party. It is servings of all their wonderful food items atop a big round spongy enjira bread. We love eating it without silverware but instead scooping...

I am a regular here most of the time the food is good; tasty, fresh,
fast and cheap. On other occasions the food has been awful. They
seem to have a consistancy problem.
