It's near the beach, it's French, the crepes were delicious, service was good too. Can't believe how quiet it was on a nice Saturday afternoon. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I noticed this cafe when it opened 4 years ago. Though we live in Venice, we forgot about it because it is tucked away. Tonight, I went with a girlfriend and had a delightful dinner. Started with a simple green salad and greek salad and then had the steak au poivre and lamb chops. Delicious and VERY reasonable. We brought our own bottle of wine (no liquor license). ... more

The best culinary value in Venice, just off the beach on Windward, Cafe De La Plage is a welcome respite from the pizza slices, mini-donuts and hot dogs you'd expect at the carnival known as Venice Beach. A quiet cafe with reasonable prices and great tastes, served with a Gallic je-ne-sais-pas. One of our favorite Venice restaurants.
