Brioso is another locally owned coffee shop that roasts its own beans on the premises, putting them through a manually operated machine to make excellent espresso. There also are homemade soups, salads, breads and desserts to go with the assorted coffees and loose-leaf teas. A Downtown gem.

Went for lunch around 11:30, the restaurant was crowded, but not overly so. I had the chicken salad sandwich, which was very big and tasty. Also had a piece of pie for dessert, also delicious. The only problem I had was the wait time. I waited for about 3-4 minutes in line, which is fine. But after I ordered, I had to wait over 20 minutes for my food. I work downtown very close to Brioso and stop by regularly for lunch. It's a great casual place for sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. Their food is very reasonably priced and delicious, with a gourmet touch.
