Good value for pre - theater dinner. Good ambiance. Choice of buffet or individual light meals. Could include dessert in price of buffet.
The food was good, though not spectacular. The dinner is a buffet which includes a variety of first and second courses plus coffee. Dessert and wine are not included. The total was rather pricey for the quality, but the convenience and relaxation it offered were probably worth it. We considered it a donation.
This is our one favorite pre_ballet dining spot not only because of the convenience but also because of the the quality of the food but also the quality of the service.
Opera House downstairs. Same salads year after year - it wouldn't take much to dream up at least ONE new salad each Ballet season! Very expensive for what you get. Convenient location - that's about it. Buffet is over cooked just about everything. Feel kinda taken advantage of just because of the rush to get something to eat and make performances after a rushed day.

If you plan to bring your kids, keep in mind that the prix-fixe children's menu is half the price of the adult menu.
Always call ahead to make a dinner reservation and to verify that the Cafe will be serving dinner before the performance.
The cafe opens one and a half hours before every performance except for Saturday matinees, so make sure to plan around the evening's performance.
