Very tasty breakfast and the grits were very flavorful. The bacon was nice and crisp and the eggs were cooked just the way I like them. Very homey atmosphere and good food. Wish they were open for dinner!
We ate here after reading good reviews. While the food was good, it really wasn't anything other than good food. Long wait to get in at 10:00am on a Friday morning.
Have had as good of a breakfast at other restaurants so not sure I would return, however, service was good and friendly.
Atmosphere is quaint. Offering is different than regular breakfast places. It's good, but not worth waiting an hour for. If you go early and don't have to wait, it's good for a change. Tried to call in an order on Saturday and were told they don't accept call-ins on the weekends because it backs up the kitchen.

As a visitor from Minnesota for the month of February, we ate breakfast at Buttermilk at least 3 times! We enjoyed each breakfast! The French Toast was awesome as well as the eggs and sausage. I enjoyed a small bowl of grits too, since we don't really serve those in Minnesota! The host was always very welcoming, and the waitresses...
