I wouldn't call $4.00 pabst tall boys cheap. Nothing on tap. Sucks to pay a cover to have your ears blasted out with reallly bad music.
I agree with another review; this place was cool 15 years ago. When the barber shop next door closed and the tattoo shop opened it was all over. Nice, mellow, decent patrons left and the place filled with ink covered j@!%!**#s. The place has a real bad energy...

Great Drinks. Not so great atmosphere

I have to say, I did have a good time at this place, but that had more to do with being with friends and enjoying the drinks than anything about the place specifically or its staff. I guess the real lesson is that what it really takes to have a good time is the people you are with, not the venue.

Seen as one of the top twenty Dive Bars of America, Burt's Tiki Lounge is surely a local favorite. Come Sunday nights and there will be hoards singing along the karaoke and Mondays are reserved for the punk heads. If you wish, you can also buy Burt's shot glasses for your personalized shots. Not for the upmarket, this place is to grab some cheap beer and headbang to the guitar strings.
