This was featured o Channel 11 Check Please…Only open on certain days for dinner…Call ahead for a reservations….Burt personally makes your pizza with fresh ingredients basically in his front room.

Pizza fluffy, fresh, with great sauce....an overall Great Pizza with a very unique ambiance. Vivid by Anthony Bourdain and multiple food network shows.

Saw this place on Anthony Bourdain so we planned to go on our next visit to the Chicago area. It took about 3 days to get someone to answer the phone to make a reservation. I was so surprised that someone answered that I was in a panic to try to remember what to order. They are very specific (?strict)...

If you hadn't done any research about Burt's Place in Morton Grove and had no idea that one national survey touted it as one of the 10 places in the United States that you absolutely had to eat at, along with the top-rated restaurant in the world, San Francisco's French Laundry, and hardly noticed the nondescript storefront as you drove...

Great Chicago Style Pizza. Saw and heard about this place on multiple TV shows and had to give it a try. Of course we sat at the Anthony Bourdain table. Had the Sausage and Pepperoni pizza and it was fantastic. Really enjoyed this local flavor and Burt of course was walking around and serving up Pizza

I am a very "weight minded" person and avoid fattening foods; especially pizza...Burt's Place is the exception to the rule! The last reviewer was right, you should call ahead, but you probably won't....but the wait will be worth it!!!!! I call about a 1/2 hour ahead for pickup on my way home from work....But when you pick up, you miss the coziness/friendliness of this landmark eatery...Burt's...

Burt's Pizza is a legendary pizza restaurant in Morton Grove. The decor, owner and his product are nothing short of eccentric. If this is your first time, be prepared to hear how amazing the pizza is, and then be sure to dial it back by about 20 percent to avoid being disappointed by too much hype.

Burt makes an amazingly good deep dish pizza, and he evokes a kind of weird, pizza shaman...
