UPTOWN . Funky, upbeat Bump & Grind provides a welcome change from the usual coffee shop ambience. Accented with eclectic local artwork, the interior is relaxed and bright, and the staff (dressed in drag) is incredibly friendly and fun. The coffee is awesome, especially when accompanied by a fabulous gourmet baked good, such as a coconut raspberry bar, Kahlua brownie, carrot cake muffin, or... more

Coffee flows like water. Cakes, scones, muffins and empanadas are some of the tasty treats that always take early-morning residence. People come back to the Bump & Grind over and over for its campy atmosphere, sassy, cross-dressing servers and great food. You can't go wrong with menu items like the Jackoff Special and Caramel Knowledge. Great for breakfast, especially after a night out on the town.

I take every one of my out of town guests here. The atmosphere is unique and the wait staff are hilarious! It can be a little campy, but I think that adds to the overall fabulousness of this cafe.

They have the freshest food and serve big portions (no skimping). The weekend brunch with the transvestites is HY-sterical.

Do not be fooled...this is not a family-friendly restaurant. The food itself was excellent and the chef took great care in cooking the food, but the service was very poor and a server dressed like Marilyn Monroe with bad teeth/smokers teeth, made the experience less appealing.

Pros

+ Food

Cons

- Dining experience/service
