The Buffalo Bayou Partnership, whose long-term commitment is the redevelopment of the bayou in the downtown area, has joined with the Buffalo Bayou Artpark to present a temporary exhibit on the grassy banks of the bayou. The artist-run, all-volunteer Artpark Committee of the Union of Independent Artists forms a liaison between artists and the city. Established in 1997, Artpark became a non-profit in 1993, and was relocated from the area of what is now Sesquicentennial Park to its current home overlooking the bayou.
