Glad we did it, although we had to drag our 4 and 7yr old across following a day of sightseeing. Great views but so crowded and dangerous at times with the crowds and bikes especially with the kids. Would recommend just pick a time that...

Tip- take the subway beyond the bridge and then walk back ON the bridge- someone gave us that tip- otherwise I think we would have gotten off subway AT the bridge walked over and back-

We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge after visiting the 9/11 memorial. lovely sight of the Manhattan Skyline. Would highly recommend
