Do not live in this complex

Hello,
I currently am a resident at BrookMill Apartments located in Woodstock, ga 30189. I am very disgusted with how this complex is managed.
I moved to Brookmill in February of 2013. I knew this probably wasn't going to be a good experience the day of my walk through before I moved in. First things first: the apartment had a very poor paint job, there was paint on the floor in the kitchen which I had brought to attention; management's reply was there was no way to remove it. The day after moving in I had taken some floor cleaner and scrubbed it off. Now my only thought on this was just the apartments pure laziness to provide renters with a well kept and clean place to live. Other things I have noticed that still have yet to be handled, there was paint on the blinds, black marks on the walls, the floor did not look very clean, and the handle on the front door looked as if it was going to fall off. Then about a month later I reported that my oven wasn't working properly, ice maker was broken, air conditioning wasn't working properly, and while the maintenance guy was at my apartment if he minded changing my light bulb. Now I have a dog so every time they come into my apartment they let me know so I can make arrangments for my dog to be put up. So the maintenance man entered my apartment only to fix a light bulb, and didn't even address the more serious problems. the next time he came to my apartment, he finally fixed the oven, and had recorded that the ice maker was fixed and working normally; yet there still was no ice. Now this started in April. As of last Friday in June mind you; finally I have a new ice maker, and my oven is fixed. Now for the last straw! I had come home and noticed the maintenance person was at my apartment to finally put in my new ice maker. I found black marks on my floor on the side and in front of my refrigerator, to which I had to vaccume and wipe up from this careless person, not only that but found a broken pill with powder on my kitchen floor. Now like I mentioned before I have a dog!! And this apartment complex is so lucky that my dog didn't get a hold of it and eat because it would have killed her! Now for the best part. I confronted the maintenance man whom said he was the one in my apartment and he said he has no such thing!!! So my thought is either brookMill hires dishonest people or someone else is coming into my apartment; with only management and myself having a key; on the same day that he was there replacing my ice maker, and had the nerve to deny it!! Not only this but countless times have seen roaches in my apartment and am a very clean person. I asked countless times to be placed on the list for my apartment to be sprayed; now the person who sprays your home is suppose to leave a card so that renters like myself know he has been there and done his job. Not once have I received this and have continued with the bugs! I reported it to management and still the same problem continues. Also they charge you monthly for the services whether you use it or not. And lastly I have read the comments by other unhappy renters and have noticed others have had a problem with Patty a manager at Brookemill, and as well as others I am fed up with her rude and disrespectful attitude, as of everyone here at Brookemill is such an incomvience to her and she is annoyed and shows it very well.
Other then personal bad experiences; Brookemill doesn't seem to pressure wash the buildings like they used to the hallways are very dirty the overall look of the apartments aren't terrible but living here is! Someone got the hell beat out of them in the parking lot; police have been there a couple times for assault and other renters cars being broken into, my truck was keyed on my tail gate. I am a college student living by myself I not feel safe here; and regret ever signing a lease here and will make it known to others to not make the same mistake. Some action needs to be taken; and I will take any action necessary to make sure the word gets out. Unfortuantly this may not be enough to terminate my lease early without penalty, although If it was affordable I would not want to live here another day. If I have to go to the news, the health department, who ever I need to go to for the stories from myself and other unhappy renters I can promise this company I will turn prospective people away from being locked in to living here. I ask to released from my lease and maybe come to a negotiation to leave. Wether that be my deposit and one months rent I do not want to live here at Brookmill any longer. I expect these issues not to be ignored like your management team at Brookmill has ignored them and made excuses for their poor customer service. I moved into these apartments because I was believed to be moving in a safe and quiet community; which isn't the case the management team here is the biggest problem!
