Shabby, smelly and sad! - like a prison for the disabled and elderly!
Nursing staff who are not approachable and lacking empathy and lack of follow through on patient and family concerns. All patients get same food - regardless of dietary restrictions. Fantastic care received by my dad during his short term stay after recovering from pneumonia. The staff always took the next step to make sure his needs where met and that he would return home safely. Fortunately, Dad is back home at a higher level of function then prior to his hospitalization. We could not be happier with the outcome. The quality of care has exceeded our expectations.

I visited this dump today and we are pulling my mother out of it as soon as we can find another facility. There was ONE nurse on duty for the ENTIRE FLOOR and she was unpleasant and obviously unhappy. There were only two nurses aides for the entire floor on duty. It is dated, dirty, ugly, and cramped. The rooms are tiny and this converted Newburyport Mansion has not been updated for 20 years....
