A neighborhood bakery that has some distribution around the area.

They do a pretty good brunch business on the weekends, although the seating area isn't much to look at. The food is OK, but it's clearly an afterthought to the bakery. The rest of the time it's a cafe with students and small groups talking quitely.

The bread is much better than you'll find in a Safeway or even Trader Joe's, but...

The bread is great here! Get your bread and leave! People often complain about how their coffee sucks and their chicken sandwiches are crap...
