The Brandywine Zoo is a member of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association (AZA) and is one of 214 accredited zoos and aquariums in North America, a distinction that marks its commitment to providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for the visitor and a better future for all living things.
Located inside the Brandywine Park, the Brandywine Zoo was opened in the year 1905. The zoo has more than 150 species which includes reptiles, birds and animals. The zoo also offers educational tours and other family programs for kids and adults. There are games, activities and quizzes, which are very exciting to watch. This inexpensive and small zoo is a lovely little escape from the city. The size of the facility means you can comfortably visit the entire facility in about an hour while enjoying close views of most of the resident animals. Staff seems to really care about the wildlife and your visit too.

The Brandywine Zoo is located in beautiful Brandywine Park in Wilmington, Delaware. The Zoo grounds cover 13 landscaped acres on high ground above the Brandywine River. The Zoo hosts 150 animals, and is open all year round.
